Carli Bybel Palette | Review & Swatches

Hey guys! Today I thought I would show you my go-to palette. It’s the Carli Bybel palette from BH Cosmetics. It has 4 large highlight shades and 10 eyeshadows (some of the eyeshadows are a smaller version of the highlights). I love love love this palette and think that for the price you pay ($12.50 + shipping & tax) you get great colors with a decent color pay off. I have used other BH Cosmetics palettes before and noticed that they are powdery but they are buildable and blendable.Β pallette3

Here are some detail shots of the shadows & highlights. As you can see, theres a mix of matte and shimmer shades, which I love. You can easily create a number of looks only using this palette. The top left color is a nice base color for your lid, especially if you’re pale. I love the third shade on the top row for a transition shade, it’s a great color for pale skin. I also like the mauvey/plum shades in the palette, I think they compliment my blue eyes (but maybe that’s just me). I like to use the lightest Β highlight shade on my lid and in my corner to brighten up the eyes.

These are the swatches of the top row, minus the lightest shade since it didn’t show up well on my skin.

Here is the second row – and look at that pigmentation! The metallic/foil shades pack a punch and look amazing. The brown on the end is semi-matte, there are a few flakes of glitter/shimmer in it, but it’s a great color to darken up the eyes.

And lastly, the highlight shades. I think the one on the left is actually light enough as a highlight for us pale girls. I also think that these highlight shades would work for many types of skin colors, which is awesome. I love when palettes have a vast variety of colors and when people have every skin tone in mind.

So overall, I really love this palette! I think that you get more than what you pay for. I don’t have any high-end palette or eyeshadows to compare these to, but I think the pigmentation is great. You can blend them very well and they last. I highly suggest this palette if you’re looking for something new that you can create lots of looks with.

Thank you for reading! Do you have this palette yet? Do you want it? After having good luck with this one, I want to order Shan Xo’s palette from BH cosmetics, but I’m a little iffy on the colors in her palette, but I may just suck it up and see if I can create any looks with it. I’ll keep you posted.

Xoxo, Rae
